Currently on maternity leave until roughly mid January 2025. There are times in life when our experiences can leave us feeling isolated, alone, unloved and questioning whether we are "good enough." We may struggle to trust others or the world around us; doubting, hating, hurting or numbing ourselves in an attempt to alleviate pain. Experiences of trauma or significant stressors in our past can lead to continued pain in the present. I specialize in working with adolescence and young adults who've experienced trauma and/or distressing life events to heal from these wounds and find new ways of connecting with self and others.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma and other distressing life events. Using EMDR as my primary modality, and in addition to other mindfulness based and trauma focused approaches, we can craft a path that fits your personal needs and goals.
I believe that at the core of much suffering is the desire to be seen and loved as is, to find acceptance of one’s own self and to feel safe in our world. I make safety and relationship a priority so that deeper work becomes possible. This process is about you and belongs to you. I am here to let you know, you are not alone in the journey.
