I work with clients struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, life transitions and burnout. I believe everyone has the potential to create the life they want while still appreciating their present experience. I will work with you on this by creating a nonjudgmental environment that creates a sense of safety and dare I say, enjoyment, in your therapeutic journey. You can expect a lot of talk about values and the use of dog and Harry Potter metaphors in your work with me!
I incorporate a mix of therapeutic techniques in my sessions with clients - including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, strengths work and exposure work. I am also trained in EMDR therapy.
I believe that the core foundation of therapy is creating an alliance with clients in which they are able to feel comfortable, safe, and supported along their journey. I assist clients by understanding their story with empathy and compassion, while acknowledging that no one path looks the same – I value the importance of meeting clients where they are.
