My goal in counseling is to create a supportive space where my clients can heal, grow, and find empowerment through diverse talk therapy techniques. I utilize a strengths-based approach, focusing on clients' inner strengths and resources while building their ability to focus on the positives around them
Some of my special areas of interest include trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, Women’s issues, LGBTQ+, peer relationships, and building resiliency. In all of these areas, my primary goal is to assist my clients in gaining the tools necessary to thrive despite life's challenges
My professional background includes attending crisis calls to support sexual assault survivors directly after their traumatic experience and providing on-site counseling, education, and connecting them to local resources to meet their needs
