I bring 15 years of experience working with children and families. I specialize in working with children aged 0-12 who are experiencing behavior problems, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, OCD, ADHD/executive function challenges, depression, grief and loss, poor self-concept, identity confusion, gender issues, school refusal, educational issues, PTSD/trauma, and social issues. I am adept at providing parents the guidance and support needed for them to be able to facilitate their child’s growth and healing.
I adhere to developmentally appropriate practices such as play therapy, art, activity, or child-centered talk therapy as well as age-appropriate dialectical behavioral therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition to working with the child, I provide parental psychoeducation, parent coaching, and child guidance education to the parents/caregiver.
I work to develop a strong rapport with each family while working on individualized treatment plans from a child-centered, highly compassionate approach where clients are fully seen and heard, treated with the highest regard. This approach often facilitates an increased ease and comfort with the therapy experience.
