She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults having psychiatric diagnosis and dual diagnoses. She gained her experience while providing group therapy to adults with substance use and behavioral health concerns at a PROS program. She also received training at a psychiatric partial hospitalization program for adolescents, and currently, she is working as an assistant counselor at an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Maddie follows a person-centered theoretical orientation and utilizes a skills approach that focuses on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) interventions. She believes in creating a comfortable environment for her clients by meeting them where they are and using empathy and genuineness to instill a safe and judgment-free
Her primary objective is to empower her clients to flourish and shine in their everyday lives. She encourages them to use the skills they have learned to live better and feel better. She finds it rewarding to see her clients grow into their truest selves and gain confidence.

The Middle Path Group
A weekly dialectical behavior therapy skills group for middle school aged girls struggling with strong emotions, impulsivity, interpersonal issues and communication. (Most insurance accepted * Please note, clients are not required to be attending individual therapy at Nassau Psychology, PC in order to participate in group therapy at our practice. A one time intake evaluation is required prior to being admitted into group therapy to ensure we are a good fit for the client's needs and to meet the group leader.)
