Hey I’m Maddie! Helping others cultivate body awareness and form a healthy relationship with their body is the driving force behind the work I do. I’m most drawn to supporting teens and adults healing from an eating disorder or other body image difficulties. My experience ranges from the early stages of disordered eating to working closely with individuals following inpatient eating disorder treatment. I also have experience supporting primary survivors of sexual assault.
I enjoy incorporating a mind-body perspective into the work I do. I’m an advocate for health at every size (HAES) and intuitive eating to help people learn how to be comfortable and connected with their bodies. Learning to reconnect with the body through the relationship with food and movement is an integral part of the work I do.
Regardless of the modality, my work is centered around the belief that through self-acceptance, mindfulness, and compassion, we can learn ways to be at peace in our minds and bodies. Whether it's body image challenges, anxiety, or depression, I love working alongside people as they discover the tools they already have within them to live a purposeful life.
