Finding a therapist is daunting; I value the work you've done so far. I specialize in trauma-focused care for transitions, eating disorders, and attachment wounds. You may feel stuck, unsure, doubtful that much can improve your way of thinking and relating to yourself, others, and the world around you. Most people attempt to change behaviors instead of the roots of how they came to be; I want to help your heal you inner critic, explore self-compassion, acknowledge your values, and voice your boundaries. I want you to find support and an ally in me. And if you don't, I want to help you find someone else who can be that for you.
I focus on the roots of how you came to this place in life, using compassion-based psychodynamic approaches rooted in Internal Family Systems, shame resilience, Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating and living, as well as dialectic behavior techniques, psychoeducation, mindfulness, art-therapy interventions, and somatic awareness.
From our first email or phone call, I want to create a safe space for you, to glimpse a compassionate supportive road to growth, healing, and recovery. So, don't be afraid to reach out. I want you to find joy.
