I am a New York State licensed psychologist with vast experience treating people across the life span, particularly adolescents, young adults, and adults managing life transitions, stress, and the resulting emotional impact. My work at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Center has helped inform how I supplement clinical skill with genuineness, validation, and an affirming space for people to obtain the support, relief, and mastery they seek in order to feel more skillful and fulfilled throughout life.
Through cognitive behavioral approaches, I work with people to identify patterns that maintain unwanted behaviors and situations. I also flexibly incorporate other approaches such as Dialectical Behavior informed techniques and systems approaches while centering social identities and environments that directly impact us.
We all endure unique challenges, strive to do better, and benefit from additional support. Affirming spaces are also key for those of us who spend a lot of time in spaces where parts of our identities are denied.
