Currently Macarena’s private practice is fully remote and specializes in the following areas of women’s mental health: anxiety, depression, trauma, relational challenges, life transitions such as marriage, divorce, relocation, career changes, retirement, college and more; Maternal mental health (prenatal and postpartum support); and Corporate/Workplace mental health & well-being workshops. Macarena additionally accepts referrals for adolescents, children & couples counseling on a case by case basis.
In tandem with more traditional talk therapy, the creative process enables our ability to increase self-awareness and insight, moving beyond the defenses we've developed. Sometimes words cannot explain everything that we feel. I encourage my clients to safely create art in order to elicit emotional material that may be difficult to express with words alone.
