I would be happy to hear your concerns and let you know if I might be a good fit to work with you or your teen.
Are your child's ADHD symptoms causing them to feel stuck, frustrated, or not "good enough"? Is depression or anxiety weighing your child down? Is your teen afraid to make friends, try new things, or go to school? Is it a struggle to get your kid to school every morning? Does your child seem unmotivated to complete schoolwork? Do you feel like your teen just can't seem to get stuff done? I have worked with many teens, young adults, and families who have experienced these same problems, and are surprised and relieved when they see how these challenges really can get better!

If you are a teen or an adult reach out and begin the first steps.
Sometimes going through the demands of life on our own is overwhelming and it has been shown support can help us overcome these challenges. That is where we come together, to work through those traumatic experiences collaboratively. Together, we will identify behavioral patterns of the past that have worked for you and those that are no longer serving you. Together, we will explore feelings that rise inside you and learn to identify the links they have to your thoughts and how you react and respond in situations. Together, we will work on building a more positive narrative that motivates you to make the changes you want to see.

We go to the doctor when something feels "off" in our body so why don't we go see someone when something feels "off" in our minds? I believe everyone should be able to have a safe place to talk, to process, to understands one's own thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and overall one's self.

I have a client-centered non-directive approach. I'm solution focused, meaning after discussing and exploring a problem I prefer to shift focus on solutions to the problem. If you're uncertain of what you want to work on and all you know is you may benefit from some support I'm happy to collaborate on what is difficult and what may help. If any part of my approach does not work for you at any time or even before

In addition to providing traditional ABA services, I help neurodivergent children, teens and adults gain independence and learn how to incorporate their unique needs into a world that is not traditionally designed to support them.
Words matter. The words we say and the words we use to describe our experiences shape our decisions moment by moment. As a behavior analyst, it is my job to identify the stuck patterns my clients get into to help them break unhelpful habits and make meaningful choices.

I have worked with clients aged 7-65 but my passion lies working with children and adolescents.
“I can’t do this anymore.” “I can’t call (insert friend’s name) because they have enough on their plate.” “I feel so alone.” “This black cloud just keeps getting bigger.” “Why am I so upset? Things are going so well in my life!” Throughout our life, we face many challenges during our day to day lives which can be made more difficult by past experiences. Sometimes, we just need someone to help sort it all out. Whether you are struggling with unresolved trauma, grief or loss, a recent breakup or divorce, a constant shadow of or the grip of depression, therapy can help. The first step is finding the right therapist for you

Teen Therapists

What does therapy for teenagers look like?

When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?

There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?

You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
