My name is Jenn and I have been in the social work field for 28 years. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I specialize in helping clients coping with stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, parental challenges and grief. The ideal client is coming to therapy motivated to work through their concerns, hear a different perspective and develop strategies to overcome these challenges.

Rebekah Bernard is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have had the opportunity to practice in both rural and urban settings doing both community and agency work. Initially, I began working in the field of addiction and trauma. I am a firm believer in finding ways to use community as a source of healing and support, through advocacy, connection, and support.

I have a background in sports and coaching which has taught me effective communication styles and the ability to adapt to every situation.

As an Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, I was not cognizant of the impact of mental illness on family and society, until I decided to pursue a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Degree. I believe that societal stigmatization of mental illness, and the shame felt by families who have a loved one with mental illness, makes it difficult for these patients to recover, and live peacefully for the rest of their lives. Psychiatric illness should be treated like a medical illness with no stigma, no blame or shame.

Heather Sousa is a Resident in Counseling (RIC) with nearly 3 years of professional experience working with children and teens. She specializes in treating children on the autism spectrum, or who are dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, and are learning to regulate their emotions and build positive peer and familial relationships. What started as an interest in Early Childhood Education led Heather down the path of working with young children in a counseling setting.

I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Fitchburg State College and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Special Education at Assumption College. I have 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families from a wide variety of backgrounds. Currently, I work as a School Adjustment Counselor with elementary, middle and high school students and have many years working in specialized settings. My work experience has focused primarily on ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma reactive, and ASD.

Katie Twomey has been working at Paramount Recovery Centers since May 2022 as a Primary Therapist. Katie has worked in the mental health and addiction field since 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UMass Boston in 2014 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Communication Studies. She is also currently enrolled in the MSW program at Regis College, and her anticipated graduation date is December 2022.
