Welcoming new clients for immediate openings weekday days. Therapy is sometimes like trying to untangle a great big knot from the inside out. I am there to guide you in choosing which strands to look at first, which ones to save for later and how to cope with the emotions that are released with the loosening of each string.

I offer online appointments as well as in person.
My focus is to help individuals regain hope that their lives can improve and that they have the potential to be instrumental in this process. With therapy, individuals learn to identify detrimental patterns in their own behavior, thought processes and interactions. When one can step back from oneself in a safe and therapeutic space, perspective, change, and acceptance follows.Anthony Storr puts it beautifully: " Putting things into words has another function, It is the means whereby we detach ourselves from the world about us and from the inner world of our own emotions and thoughts".

My sessions center around an exploration to facilitate focus, grounding, centering, problem solving, listening and connecting to the heart. This work is particularly helpful to those dealing with life transitions, experiencing stress, anxiety, lack of self-esteem, loss of sense of self and ADHD. I have been an Expressive Arts Therapist since 1989, a Massage Professional since 1991 and am a Certified Sound Healer. For over 30 years I have experienced the mind/body connection integral to achieving health and balance.

These have been difficult times and many have felt the need for counsel to deal with concerns shared by all of us. At the same time, every therapy client is a unique individual and deserves care and concern for this. Problems in living can be lessened using "here and now" techniques such as CBT, and focusing on present concerns. They can also be alleviated by looking to the past to find where some issues had their beginning. Sometimes looking at both the present and the past is helpful moving toward goals. Either can help, and sometimes a combination is effective.

Judy Garland said it best: "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else." I help clients with depression, anxiety, self esteem, "stuck-ness" and relationship issues; and specialized concerns with sexual and gender identity, illness & loss. I see every instance in our lives as an opportunity for evolution. I believe in the search for insight, but also developing practical tools for change. I believe in the value of a good laugh, but also keeping ourselves honest. I believe in the importance of hope and integrity, but also managing expectations & resentments so that we can flourish.

Welcome to my practice. I work with a wide range of people, from those looking to make subtle shifts and build insight to those struggling to manage profound, chronic suffering. I will help you explore the impact of your past and present on your health and well-being and learn how to connect deeply with your self, your body, with others, and with the world around you. My approach is heavily relational, geared towards healing attachment wounds, as well as somatic, centering the body and nervous system - both of which have carried so much burden but are often minimized in therapies that rely exclusively on talk and cognitive process.
