A comprehensive evaluation is often the first step in understanding an individual's difficulties, cognitive profile and learning differences. Working for years in ADHD clinics and neurodevelopmental centers has fostered my expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for various cognitive, behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adults. I also have expertise in assessing the neurocognitive effects of chronic Lyme disease and fetal alcohol syndrome. All therapy and testing services are currently provided via telehealth.

As an Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, I was not cognizant of the impact of mental illness on family and society, until I decided to pursue a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Degree. I believe that societal stigmatization of mental illness, and the shame felt by families who have a loved one with mental illness, makes it difficult for these patients to recover, and live peacefully for the rest of their lives. Psychiatric illness should be treated like a medical illness with no stigma, no blame or shame.

As an experienced clinician, I find myself most compatible with individuals who seek to make positive changes in their lives. I support my clients in their efforts to confront their challenges and overcome emotional barriers. I work best with adults who feel burdened with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or relationship issues. I welcome individual clients and couples, who seek to address the conflicts in their relationships. I'm passionate about working with people who are finding life to be overwhelming and exhausting. Maybe you're heartbroken over loss, burdened with guilt, feeling you'll never be good enough, are scared, or at wits' end. Or maybe something happened to you, and it sticks with you giving you no rest. When we feel this way, we tend to isolate, berate ourselves, and spiral in our thinking or distract ourselves from these debilitating feelings. You're not alone. These feelings and responses are common, and there are evidence-based treatments to help you take the helm and steer your own ship in life.
