My ideal client is someone who is willing to work with me in order to achieve their goal. This includes being able to have back and forth conversation around ways to achieve that goal, as well as have the more difficult conversations when it comes to road blocks and the occasional self sabotaging behavior. I will always be honest in my assessments, and thoughts, and my hope would be that my client is as well.

My ideal client would be anyone genuinely looking for a change and seeking help.

Coming from a Lead Clinician role for a Virtual Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Program, I don't believe in an "ideal" client. In my previous role, we rarely had insight into a client's clinical presentation before their intake. I have learned to tailor my approach to each client while aiding them in learning emotional regulation techniques and interventions to sustain sobriety.

My ideal client has an open mind and is receptive to engaging in treatment. Their needs, issues, and goals should be within my scope of what I feel comfortable with and not require a higher level of care. More specifically, their needs would be, to be supported and listened to. Their issues should be able to be worked on in this setting, and their goals could be to work on developing themselves. The client wants to engage in therapy because they are ready to work on themselves and engage collaboratively.

I feel my ideal client is one who is self-motivated in wanting to uncover what hides beneath their unresolved traumas, fears, and old survival modes.

My goal is to help you live and act with integrity, increasing ability to respond - while maintaining compassion for the changes that take support, time & practice. My experience lends itself to those touched by abandonment, childhood traumas & addiction - be it those trying to recover from addictions themselves, or those affected by another's. I do not believe in 'fixing' people, but rather dismantling the myths of being broken. Experience shows that our greatest challenges are often unsprouted seeds to the most potent strengths. Our task is to usher that growth.
