We offer integrative therapies which include traditional psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral, client focused, eastern philosophies/therapies, and holistic principles of mind, body, spirit connection for total person wellness.
Annemarie is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families become the best version of themselves. The Personal Growth Center is special because of our niche in educating and supporting those who suffer from the very particular type of emotional, mental, and psychological pain of parental alienation, estrangement, domestic violence, and narcissistic abuse. Often this specific type of suffering is the result of high-conflict divorce, power/control issues, personality disorders, and addictions.

I utilize a integrative somatic approach aimed in deepening the awareness of the interplay of thought, feeling and sensation as achieved by the physical body.
Welcome to my page. If you are here, you are interested, curious, wanting or needing to be in therapy. Whether you wish to explore the intricacies of identity, treat mental illness, tackle difficult relationship dynamics, and/or on a quest for ways to unstick the stuck places; fed up with repetitive patterns and relationships that exhaust rather than replenish your life, lets both discover and examine your fears, beliefs and judgments so that you may claim your bravery, honesty, vulnerability and happiness.

No matter what our life's story is, we can heal. My approach is holistic, integrative, and non-judgmental. In my work, I focus on the integration of the mind-body-spirit which allows us to visit every component that makes you who you are. This approach brings forth a greater sense of self - a self that has always been there, but may just need a little dusting off and given compassion, kindness, or acknowledgement.

I practice soul work, helping restore and heal our connection to our deepest Self. I especially work with military and veterans, spiritual seekers, writers and artists in all genres, mid-life crises, men's issues, trauma and abuse survivors. I welcome clients seeking positive and comprehensive growth and change, a discovery or restoration of their gifts and creativity, and a deep healing relationship "out of the box." I do not practice conventional therapy for merely repairing our issues and adjusting to unhappy conditions. Rather, I nurture the unique soul and spirit in each person toward achieving meaning and creativity.

If only I knew then what I know now about the mind-body connection; the integration of breathe, the power of intuition and the transformation that comes with stillness. I know what it feels like to want to crawl out of my own skin, to look in the rear-view mirror and to rush through miscellaneous tasks without real purpose. I am talking about the difference between living and existing. The difference between doing and being. You are not alone —- but you can’t do this by yourself because if you could, you would have by now.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
