I specialize in working with teenagers during some of the most challenging times of their lives. Teens seem to be struggling now more than ever and resources are scarce. I've worked with thousands of kids and I believe that most of them don't need an intense level of support but rather the right support from the right person. My approach is to use a growth and development model through self-awareness in order to help teens be happy and healthy. I work with teens who need to be able to be open and honest and who are looking for their lives to shift in a positive direction.

Life is hard no matter what stage you are in. High school has so much pressure, more than previous generations in many ways. Being a teenager has so much more complexity than in the past, which parents really don’t always understand. The transition to college comes with its own challenges which can be overwhelming. Then moving into independent adulthood comes with its own pressures, at whatever age that comes. Next up may be starting a family, either with a partner, by having a child, or both. There is so much more stress when you are responsible for more than just yourself.

Not accepting new clients. “I need to see a counselor" is now becoming "I'm going to see a counselor" and sorting through profile after profile for that 'perfect' therapist may feel exciting/overwhelming/confusing/(insert feeling here). You may know the issue(s) you need to address or maybe you're realizing that whatever you've been doing hasn't been getting you to where you want to be in life. Regardless of your motivation to start therapy I am committed to providing a safe, positive, and non-judgmental space to assist you in reaching your goals.

Whether you have engaged in therapy before or this is your first time, I welcome you.
