I have experience working with adults in recovery from substance use. I have found a deep affinity with the recovery community and feel honored to do that work. I also have years of experience working with youth in different capacities. My thesis in grad school focused on the intersection between Neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ identities and how this intersection can inform a framework of Belonging as embodied praxis.

I am deeply dedicated to working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My practice prioritizes children and adolescents because personal and professional experiences have shown me that there aren't enough spaces where they can show up as they are and receive attunement and positive regard. I strive to provide a safe space for clients to receive both in support of their journey through life and personal growth/development. As a neurodivergent, first generation college graduate, with a nontraditional family, I enjoy offering therapeutic space to clients with any of those identities/experiences.

I am a clinical social worker that works with adults, adolescents,children,and families/couples that present with a wide variety of mental health and behavioral issues. I know the most profound positive and sustainable change begins from finding the right fit with the right therapist. I bring to that relationship, a warm, non-judgmental holistic approach with expertise in the most current, empirically based effective treatments. I have very strong skills in treating anxiety of all sorts, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, grief, life transitions/difficult adjustments, relationship problems and complications related to divorce.

I have over 20 years of clinical work experience with adolescents, young adults, adults and families, I approach clients with a sense of compassion and genuine curiosity about their lives. In treatment, I encourage clients to share their stories and challenges, define their goals, learn new skills and build upon their strengths. As a consultant and Adjunct Professor specializing in grief and loss, I realize that not all losses are due to death. Grieving for a multitude of losses, including Learning Disorders, ADHD, and adoption, is my focus of treatment.

I have been working with children and families for more than 30 years. My approach is strength based and collaborative - my goal is to truly hear and support each person I work with whether individually or in a family. My "wheelhouse" is working with children, families and adults who have experienced developmental trauma. My training has centered on working with queer and trans adolescents and young adults, as well as partnership work, including monogamous, ENM, and poly relationship constellations. I offer individual & couples/relationship therapy to adolescents & adults where I provide an integrative, client-centered, relational approach to treatment. I’m influenced by psychodynamic, attachment, & social justice theories, as well as contemplative psychology, somatic, & emotion-focused approaches. I draw on multiple modalities, including relational psychoanalysis, EFT, DBT, mindfulness, hypnosis, ACT, & body-based approaches in order to provide individualized treatment. I understand feelings & patterns of behavior as pieces in a complex network of motivation & influence & I treat people as the complex beings they are.

Many folks find that even after seeing a therapist, they continue to experience problems such as difficulty sleeping, irritable bowel, hypervigilance, being easily startled, being very sensitive, and many other body-based reactions. They may be discouraged, and feel that they simply have to live with these problems. My practice specializes in working with individuals not simply to achieve symptom remission, but to achieve wellness. I actively collaborate with my patients to look at the root causes of anxiety, depression and other problems. In resolving these, I help folks find more balance and peace in their lives.
