Not accepting new clients
We often become stuck in unhealthy thinking patterns or habits, which can be the result of difficult past experiences or phase of life stressors. However, I believe everyone has the ability to achieve desired change. The client-worker relationship is important to me, and I begin working to develop a meaningful connection through understanding the specific needs of each person I work with.

My previous business experience in combination with many decades of providing psychotherapy are an ideal match for individuals, couples and families that want to move forward toward happier, healthier lives. I enjoy working with adults at many stages of life, including parents as they experience the years of family development to the empty nesting stage. I also have extensive experience with parents of adult children with major mental illnesses, women's issues, depression and anxiety.

I help clients experiencing trauma and PTSD, self esteem, anxiety, women's issues, grief & loss, and spirituality issues to heal deeply.
Is purity culture or religious messaging preventing you from dating, sex, and healthy relationships? Have you rejected old religious beliefs but feel "stuck" making your new beliefs a reality? I help millennials like you by using a holistic approach to therapy. I combine CBT, IFS therapy, mindfulness, and somatic practices like nervous system regulation to heal at the root of your issues; cultivate self compassion; create new, healthy relationships; and step into your sexual liberation era. I also offer CPT Intensives for those who want to heal NOW and don't want to spend months or even years in the traditional therapy model.

Particular areas of interest and experience for me include trauma, women's issues, empowerment and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, multiculturalism, and transitioning to college and adult life.
Life is messy, beautiful, heartbreaking, and hopeful. So is the process of change. To be honest about this takes courage and vulnerability. It is also the first step in the process of personal transformation. By working with me, you do me the honor of sharing these experiences for the purpose of healing and personal growth. I believe in a collaborative model of therapy that is centered on your experiences and relational. By sharing together from a place of authenticity my goal is to listen, support, and challenge you in order to face and overcome obstacles standing between you and the fullness of the life you were meant to live.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and frustrated with the demands of your life and wondering if happiness is possible ? How do you bloom when you feel stuck in the mud? I believe the following gives a path forward: “Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world" - Unknown. Taking the step to reach out is hard, and working together, we can create a space where you can feel empowered to move forward. With humor, warmth, and cultural sensitivity, I strive to create a space where you feel seen and heard as we cultivate a journey that is unique to your needs.

Change and life transitions can be difficult and scary. You don't have to go through them alone. COVID has affected everyone and their emotions. We have all been challenged to live our lives differently. Are there more family members living at home? Has your job changed? Are your children learning virtually now? Do you have a family member in hospital or nursing home that you can't visit as often as you would like? You may find yourself anxious or depressed. Your self esteem may be wavering. You may feel lonely. You don't have to be alone with any of this. I can help.

Hi there I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) practicing in the field for past 14 years. I believe in providing care with respect, compassion, sensitivity and in a non judgmental way. Life is full of challenges however, in my experience I have realized that most of my clients are equally resourceful. Time and time again I have observed that my clients often resolve their issues with guidance and support. Many of my clients have said that they feel heard and not judged for the decisions they make day in and day out, I believe this is my strength.

Over the years as a therapist, I have found that the common theme amongst my clients is not their diagnosis or their problems but their deep desire for Calmness, Clarity & Connection. They seek therapy because something is not right in their lives and they want to find a better way. The ingredients to healing are found in these three elements. Whether it is through individual therapy, teen support/skill building, The c3 Method or even within the audience of my public speaking events, my clients engage in a process that leads them away from their struggles to a place of Calmness, Clarity and Connection.

Offering online sessions. Being a woman comes with high expectations, and the pressure to be perfect in every aspect of life can feel all consuming. Juggling career, fertility, parenting, and relationships is hard enough, and trying to manage it all can leave us feeling entirely drained. On top of that, old wounds from the past sometimes sneak up, adding additional anxiety. And when getting pregnant turns out to be harder than expected, it’s easy to feel like our bodies are betraying us. It happens so easily for others, yet month after month the pregnancy test continues coming back negative. We may begin to feel like we're failing.

I provide both individual and couples therapy to adults with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions (including the perinatal and postpartum period). My style is warm, curious, and flexible. Let's schedule an intro call to see if we might be a good fit!

Women's Issues Therapists

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?

Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?

As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?

Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
