I currently treat a wide range of issues including, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, parenting problems, divorce, and life transitions. I use an integrative approach that includes relational, insight oriented, and behavioral based therapies. I am currently pursuing training in Internal Family Systems therapy. I speak Portuguese.

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am a Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed School Adjustment Counselor. I have experience working with children, adolescence, young adults, and families therapeutically. In therapeutic practice, I take a client centered approach, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution- Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have a passion for working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression and identifying patterns that are causing trouble or distress.
