I specialize in the treatment of Trauma, PTSD and Developmental trauma.
I am a Latinx bilingual licensed psychologist dedicated to supporting people from diverse cultural and economic background as they cultivate their own resilience building practices. I use my experience working with patients to determine how to best facilitate the development of a healthy mind/body. The human psyche is beautifully complicated. It can create for us moments of exhilarating joy and excruciating pain. The key to maximize joy and minimize pain is very different for each individual. It is important to have a wide range of resilience building practices to draw from in order to create individualized self-care plans.

I support children, teens and adults experiencing trauma, grief, stress, or caregiver burnout.
+Not Accepting New Clients + When someone has been through a difficult experience, they may be irritable, anxious or withdrawn. They might have nightmares or difficulty sleeping. They might constantly talk about it or do anything they can not to talk about it. They might be having trouble feeling connected with friends or focusing at school/work. Sometimes their emotions and behavior may feel unpredictable and confusing, even to themselves. It can be hard to trust others, or even themselves. You don't need to do it alone. Whatever has happened to you or your family, I am here to be your partner in the healing process.

Using an integrated approach of psychodynamic psychotherapy, strength based therapy, CBT and family work, I have had success in treating adolescents who experience depression, anxiety, issues related to trauma, grief, issues with identity, self harming behaviors and family conflict.
I provide a Client Centered, Action Oriented, Humanistic approach to supporting adolescents and young adults through challenges that can arise during this developmental stage. With over 25 years of experience working with youth in various settings, I have come to understand the importance of creating a safe space where youth can explore and process their feelings, gain the skills necessary to cope with adversity, and articulate their hopes and dreams; becoming strong, resilient young men and women; ready and able to reach their fullest potentials. It is my hope to witness this growth in every child I work with.

My experience encompasses treating people with anxiety, depression, addictions (including dual diagnosis), bipolar disorder, PTSD, low self-esteem, co-dependency, somatic issues, gender identity and LGBT issues.
Worry, Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, Grief, Overwhelming Feelings, Relationship Disasters... these are but a few of the issues that may lead someone to consider a professional who can support and assist you with your core concerns. I specialize in treating the human condition from a holistic perspective, always honoring the uniqueness of each individual and respecting their way of "being" in the world. Our aim together will be to explore and find revelations, resolutions, and solutions. Using a psychoanalytic approach, we will bring to light the driving forces behind the repetitive behaviors that tend to keep us attached to repeated outcomes.

I have extensive training in the treatment of trauma, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Attachment.
I currently have daytime openings (e.g. 9-3) for in person appointments. Are you curious about aspects of your life that have become difficult for you? I see psychotherapy as an educational process, and my role is to help you to get to know yourself in a different way. I take a stance that is non-pathologizing, and believe that everyone, no matter how many overwhelming experiences one has had, also has the capacity to heal. I am grounded in an approach based on Internal family systems (IFS), and incorporate elements of mindfulness, as well as sensorimotor psychotherapy, and attachment theories in my work.
