I utilize a mindfulness approach and incorporate cbt, dbt, narrative and family systems theory.
Hello, I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families I specialize in treating anxiety and depression. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. I also enjoy working with teenage and younger clients. I see many people who are going through life transitions. When one is going through grief and loss, education challenges, relationship difficulties, a new family member, pain or illness, it can be particularly difficult to cope and particularly beneficial to be in therapy to work through these issues with an unbiased ear. I also specialize in working with individuals who have struggles with chronic pain.

My theoretical orientation as a psychotherapist is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, based in liberation and humanistic approaches while also drawing from attachment theory, internal family systems, and somatic healing models.
Do you have a history of trauma? Do you feel disconnected from yourself and others? Do you lose time and forget things you did or said? Do you feel distressed and out of control with no clear reason? You might be experiencing trauma-related dissociation, your body's way of coping with emotionally overwhelming events. My name is Becca and I specialize in healing complex trauma and dissociative disorders, including DID.

I practice predominantly from the relational psychodynamic, attachment, family systems/differentiation, and existential theories intersecting with social justice and trauma-focused perspectives.
I strongly value the unique intersectionality of each individual and/or collective identities and narratives. I am interested in focusing on and using the therapeutic relationship to explore, process, and re-build psychological patterns of self-worth and interpersonal dynamics that are underlying symptoms. I welcome collaboration in cultivating a curious and open space to empower growth in self-agency as well as growth in the capacity to reflect on the self, other, unconscious mind, and emotional experience. I believe this is vital for deepening self-compassion and integration of one’s various parts of self and history.

I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems.
Psychological suffering exists on different levels and manifests in different ways, in psyche, body, interpersonally, socially, both consciously and unconsciously. Thankfully, there are many ways to address psychological struggle, ranging from the exploration of non-conscious intra-psychic and interpersonal dynamics underlying "symptoms" to the exploration of ways that we are alienated from community. This work is especially helpful when the source of our suffering is unclear. My work is social justice-informed and incorporates an understanding of how larger systems impact our lives. Facilitating empowerment is key in my work.
