In addition to psychodynamic training, I utilize IFS, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and CBT strategies.
Hello and welcome. For over 24 years I have had the honor of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds on issues that are impacting their lives. I approach treatment through a collaborative framework, recognizing that you are the expert of your life experience, and that my role is to accompany you through insightful exploration to help increase self awareness, reach your goals, and bring about lasting change. While I take my work seriously, I believe that incorporating humor and being authentic is integral to building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship.

It's important to process mental barriers that are getting in the way of happiness (typically via EMDR or IFS), which then greatly facilitates taking action towards goals.
It's an unfortunate reality, but many people never reach their full potential in life; there always seems to be one or more things holding them back. This can be due to past traumatic experiences, a difficult childhood, their own thoughts, etc... the list is endless! As a result, anxiety and depression can set in.

Other modalities I draw upon include EMDR, The Stages of Recovery in trauma work, CBT, and narrative therapy.
Currently accepting NEW clients. I often work with people who feel disoriented and disconnected from themselves and others. These feelings can be profoundly lonely and confusing, leaving one grasping for a sense of direction. I work directively and collaboratively to help them regain a greater sense of orientation within their own lives and discover the meanings behind their struggles. It is my privilege to be able to support and witness others' journeys and their healing process.

As an EMDR clinician, I offer my clients a customized mix of psychotherapy and trauma focused treatment.
Today is your last day of scrolling through therapists. The last day of doubting yourself and the true intentions of everyone around you. You have always wondered how everyone else can live so carefree. Well, it’s your time now to experience the profound peace of finally releasing all of the things that are keeping you stuck. You're longing for someone to finally see the real you, someone with whom you can engage in life changing, powerful therapeutic work together.

I am EMDR certified and have used this evidence-based approach to help with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD and others.
I see therapy as a collaborative process in which I listen to how you want to move forward with your goals. I always take time to really hear how you, as an individual or couple, want to make changes and respect your own choices in your life. We sometimes find ourselves repeating negative patterns or stuck in challenging situations but have difficulty knowing how to make lasting changes. Therapy can help make this clearer.

Additionally, I am trained in EMDR, a therapeutic technique proven effective in processing traumatic experiences and promoting healing.
In life, we encounter a diverse array of experiences, not all of which are positive. It's during the most challenging moments—marked by grief, pain, anxiety, and sadness—that we undergo profound growth and self-discovery. These testing times serve as invaluable lessons, shaping us into resilient individuals. I believe that true growth occurs when we embrace these moments, motivated and prepared to take the necessary steps forward. Are you ready to embark on your journey of personal transformation today?

I incorporate elements of CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and DBT to help people achieve their goals.
I help people overcome the challenges they face in everyday life: work or school, mood, stress, relationships, trauma and abuse. If you're not finding satisfaction or joy in life, if you feel stuck, or if you keep running into mental, emotional, or behavioral blocks, I can help. I work with adults and also specialize in helping college/university students and the unique challenges that go with college life: balancing academic and social demands, pressure to succeed, fitting in, "adulting," and possibly most importantly, becoming the person you want to be.

Additionally, I am currently undergoing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), a proven treatment for trauma disorders.
My ideal client would be someone who is ready and willing to participate in treatment. I am comfortable with an array of different diagnoses and struggles. Their needs would include working towards tangible goals that we are able to breakdown in the treatment setting. They may want to work on self-esteem, depression, anxiety, PTSD symptoms etc. They would want to minimize their symptoms and improve everyday functioning. The goal would ultimately be to no longer need treatment as they have reached their goals.

I value a holistic understanding of each client's unique experiences, background, and needs. I prioritize building a therapeutic connection with my clients, aiming to create a safe place for authentic growth. Therapy is distressing at times, and I find that bits of humor & laughter go a long way. Through the use of evidence-based practices, I support the development of healthy relationships, coping skills, self-esteem, and decision-making that aligns with personal goals & values.

For clients: I am EMDR certified and focus most of my work on Trauma and PTSD while also specializing in eating disorders.
Why do so many of us avoid feeling? Somewhere along the line, we learned that discomfort was "bad." We all avoid in certain ways and it takes strength to look at ourselves compassionately. I balance a realistic, no fluff approach with warmth and empathy. We are all going through something, but I believe we can heal and be inspired by the little things (which eventually become the big things).

Certified in IFS and EMDR and using Somatic Therapy, I help clients that experience anxiety, perfectionism, and PTSD/CPTSD.
Some days you feel on top of the world with everything you have accomplished thanks to your ambition and determination. Other days you feel a debilitating sense of anxiety and depression relating to your past trauma, everything left on your to-do list, or the general uncertainty of the future, and can’t seem to shake it off and relax. Perfectionism, anxiety, and trauma can make you feel like you are never enough - not smart enough, capable enough, strong enough, safe enough, loveable enough… the list goes on. This makes your everyday life feel confusing, your spirit heavier, and your future bleaker. You know something has to change.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
