I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in acute care and outpatient settings. Effective therapy requires a relationship between patient and provider founded on trust and mutual understanding. I am supportive, non-judgmental, trustworthy, optimistic, and understanding. I believe in meeting people where they are in order to guide them towards self-awareness so they can develop their full potential.

We are living in "complex times." We have heard this a great deal recently, but what do you do with that when already feeling overwhelmed? We may not realize it, but we are influenced daily by our own psychology. We sometimes deal with it, sometimes it deals with us. Life isn't getting less complex, and that is exactly why now is the perfect time to begin to actively manage your own psychological health. Let's explore what that looks like for you, together.

I believe that psychotherapy is a collaborative process in which a safe and welcoming space is co-created. This space allows room to supportively explore-with curiosity and self-compassion-the patterns of interaction, behavior, and thoughts that might no longer serve their purpose. I am an accomplished clinician with over 15 years of direct experience. I began my professional career in San Francisco and have since relocated back to my roots in central Massachusetts. I have worked successfully with many clients with a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, strengths, challenges, and coping strategies.

My ideal client is someone who is confused or conflicted in their life. They may or may not have a clear picture of their goals and what their life should look like. How do they get there? They need guidance, clarity, and support on their life's path. They need to connect with others, with nature, and with their true self. Perhaps they are not clear on how to get help or where they can start. In the case of feeling hopeless or helpless, they need to know they have the support of another human being and, perhaps if they are spiritual, the support of the Divine, however they see that. They are looking for wholeness.

Calm in the middle of the storm; strength to overcome any obstacle; courage, resilience and determination - these are qualities I seek to cultivate in my clients. My goal is to not only offer my clients relief from disturbing emotional and cognitive symptoms but to support them in manifesting their highest potential. My clinical work has been described as "effective," "holistic", "multi-modal," "results oriented," blending the science of Western Psychology with the intuition of the Eastern spiritual traditions. I focus on root cause for powerful healing. Hardworking clients committed to their growth flourish in my care.

If you have been looking for a dependable sense of well-being in your life, knowing that how you feel and function in the world isn’t what it could be or what you’d like it to be, I offer professional and compassionate help. Your feelings and behaviors make sense and healing is possible. I help you become your own source of support and growth. Internal Family Systems (IFS) informs my practice. We all have parts that can become less extreme and more harmonious, and a Self that is wise and compassionate. Trauma, attachment wounds, shame, self-hate and feeling insecure about ourselves can frequently be at the root of our struggles.

Many people who have experience in therapy remain puzzled as to why they find it so difficult to change even after learning about the dynamics of their emotional suffering. Thinking processes can only take us so far and often are unable to instigate a deep psychological shift.
Unconscious processes, even brought into the light, will resist attempts to think them away. Imagination and the body are the home of the subconscious. It is in that world, that real and lasting change can transpire. Together we will attempt to get close and "withstand" conflicts of the mind rather than "understand" them.

There's nothing I enjoy more than helping people move forward in life. "Moving forward" takes on different definitions as we proceed through life, but the bottom line is that everyone gets "stuck" at times. Maybe it's a dead end job, or the boyfriend/girlfriend that hasn't stepped up, or maybe it's more than that. Maybe you don't feel the happiness that you once did and you want it back. Whatever "it" is, it is my privilege as a therapist to help you figure it all out. It is my experience that a person-centered approach (treatment is based on YOUR individual needs and who you are), can lead to life-changing results.

Summer 2024 - Accepting New Clients! With life becoming increasingly demanding, it can feel like we are always battling on a new frontier. We do not, however, have to power through it alone! Whether it’s with relationships, family, jobs, college, new cultural environments or even ourselves, I aim to support my clients with recognizing and managing the emotional impact that life’s torrent of changes has on us all. My therapeutic approach is to create an accepting relationship so sessions can be a comfortable and judgment free zone.

Considering therapy is a big step and finding a therapist who matches your needs is an important part of the process. I specialize in working with new parents through pregnancy and postpartum, also have experience working with adoptive parents. The journey into parenthood can simultaneously be filled with joy and uncertainty. Changes in mood, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts are common as one navigates this enormous life change. It may feel isolating at times, and you do not need to face this alone.

I currently have a waitlist. Having a wide range of clinical experience across the life span, I recognize the importance of finding the balance between supporting and challenging my clients through the intentional building of the therapeutic relationship. I focus on the whole person and lean into the importance of establishing safety in the therapeutic process. I support my clients to share their stories, challenge thinking patterns, build coping strategies, and process their experiences and the world around them through dialogue.
