Hi there, my name is Lytara Garcia and I am an LCSW in California via telehealth. I have experience in working with various age groups including children as young as 4 years to adults as young as 80 years old and older. I have various training in cognitive behavioral therapy (challenging negative thoughts, understanding your emotions and behaviors), Solution Focused Therapy (goal focus), harm reduction, and mindfulness working with adults 25+. I've worked with adults transitioning back into the civilian world after incarceration (so trauma and life-skills informed).
I find that my style and approach fit best with young adults 25 and up struggling with depression, anxiety, work stress, and trauma. However, 18- 24 are open to giving me an opportunity to work with them. I've made some great connections in the past.
I consider myself to be an eclectic practitioner, meaning I utilize various theories, and interventions for those suffering from unhealed trauma, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Based on where you are in life, we will both find what works best for you.
