Dr. Smelcer has over 15 years of clinical experience specializing in treating depression, anxiety, addiction disorders including behavioral addictions, trauma, grief, sexual identity concerns, premarital, life transitions, ADHD, LGBTQ and childhood disorders. Dr. Smelcer is passionate about helping clients gain insight and build from their strengths to make changes that improve their overall functioning.
Dr. Smelcer focuses on a variety of issues, making sure to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment to provide clients the opportunity to explore their concerns. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of counseling and, with this in mind Dr. Smelcer works collaboratively with the client to meet their treatment goals.
Lyon View Counseling is currently accepting new clients and offers evening and weekend appointments. We strive to see clients within 7 days. Also, due to Covid-19 we are offering discounted rates for college students and front line workers, including teachers. We also offer medication management services, ASL, and premarital counseling.
