My name is Lynne Boddie, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in MA. I have a integrative approach to counseling but I mostly utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I mostly work with clients that are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss and ADHD. My approach to therapy is in my belief that all most people need is for someone to truly listen to them. In doing so we can make connections to how thoughts affect functioning. I often utilize CBT skills to help the client to identify and challenge dysfunctional thoughts supporting anxiety and depression.
I also like to help clients to understand how their life experiences affect them throughout their lives. My communication style is gentle and open. I seek to make the client feel comfortable and that they are in a safe space. I like to incorporate humor and spirituality in the sessions under the right circumstances.
I like to set small obtainable goals to eventually get to the main goal. In my first session with you I like to find out what has brought you to therapy and what you seek to accomplish in the therapeutic relationship. I want you to tell me what works for you in feeling supported.
