Life is about emotional development. Development gets delayed by trauma and loss, and then symptoms appear. These symptoms may show up as depression, grief, failed relationships, addictions, health issues, rage, and ambivalence toward life. Initiation from one phase to another is halted, and growth stops. Fear and terror can and do set in. Psychotherapy helps us integrate the fear of transformation and emotions. Instead of midlife crises, we have a deepening of experience, and we create meaning and purpose. This is true for all developmental stages, for all age groups. Development starts at conception, and continues through death.
Using methods such as dreamwork, insight therapy, and my own life experience, I assist you in exploring how you lost yourself. The symptoms that plague you may tell us what will heal you. The psyche itself gives us the information we need. I reflect for you.
