The goal of therapy is to develop a connected relationship with an empathic professional that helps alleviate any issues that the client wants to work on. A client should expect a respectful and creative environment in which they can safely explore their needs and wants. Some people believe that they are not worthy of help or are ashamed of what seeking help means about themselves. Therapy is there for anyone who wants to use it, from people who just need a boost through a troubled time to people seeking long term work examining patterns and habits that interfere with their hope and happiness.
In my work I seek to provide a warm relationship with people interested in learning more about themselves in a supportive environment. I have worked with many different populations from community mental health, child residential programs, and individual clients struggling with addiction and cooccurring disorders.
