I have experience working with children and adolescents with a culturally conscience mindframe. I also have experience with working with clients with trauma (of all kinds) and I am in the process of becoming Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certified. y focus is primarily with children and adolescents who have struggles with anger, depression and anxiety. As a trilingual clinician, I have seen how hard it is for people to get treatment and I focus my services on primarily Spanish or Portuguese speaking clients.
As a child of immigrants, I have seen how hard it may be to navigate different cultures and identities in America. I also have first hand experience navigating three cultures and acculturation issues throughout my life, I have seen how lonely it may feel to have trauma related to cultures and family of origin.
Coming from several cultures is a privilege but can also be a challenge. I have seen how these struggles can be hard for both children and adults and can cause stress, depression, and anxiety among other concerns. I work with you using several different therapy techniques to identify ways to navigate the challenges you have in your life.
