I have been working in the field of mental health for over 12 years with experience working with children, adults, and families. I have master’s degree in social work from University of Missouri, and master degree in criminal justice from Washburn University I have experience working with individuals of various mental health needs and have worked with both adults and children who suffer from various mental illness such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, adjustment disorders and autism. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings with people of diverse backgrounds and culture.
I love diversity and culture among people, and I believe that stems from my own background, growing up with Brazilian-German parents, and traveling to many different countries and experiencing other cultures firsthand.
In my approach, I find it important to consider the entire person (mind, body and spirit) in therapy since they all have an important part to play in the healing process.
