I specialize in work with children and families. The relationships we have with our caregivers shapes who we become in the future. The period of early childhood into adolescence are very difficult years for many children, especially after adjustments after COVID. I have worked with many teens struggling with mental illnesses like Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety or Social Anxiety related to the pandemic and its after effects. I also work with adults who have experienced trauma, difficult life transitions, and stress.
I am a certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapist, and have worked with both children and adults who are currently struggling or have previously experienced trauma. I also include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed work with my clients, and also have experience with Motivational Interviewing among other therapeutic practices.
I always offer nonjudgemental, unconditional positive regard for my clients. No matter who you are, I will never be the expert on your life, but I can offer skills and support when needed. I build relationships with each of my clients, and I love my profession and demonstrate that with cultivating a warm and welcoming space. I feel honored to work with all!
