I am accepting in person clients between the hours of 1pm-3pm Monday -Thursday. In addition, Fridays at 330pm there is open enrollment for Adventure-Based group for teens. I have several years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. My specialty is providing treatment of anger problems, PTSD, mood disorders and anxiety disorders. My approach is client centered. I draw from several different theoretical models, but my focus is on developing a therapeutic relationship that connects clients to their inner strength and hones their ability to adapt.
During the therapeutic process we explore thinking patterns, relationships and use strength based interventions to develop coping skills.
My unique approach utilizes traditional talk therapy but also includes alternative interventions such as adventure based therapies, mind-body interventions, stress innoculation, controlled exposure training and self esteem skills groups for adolescents.

Groups
Family Adventure-Based Outdoor Excursion
This is a 1-2 day retreat for family members to reconnect/bond. It takes place in the Catskill mountains with planned therapeutic activities such as wilderness bushcraft, primitive skills and outdoor adventures that provide guided engagement for the participants involved. We focus on getting back to the basics and finding ways of strengthening their relationships. Typical groups include dyads such as father and son, mother and daughter, siblings or any variasion. The retreat addresses issues such as loss, ongoing conflicts, communication issues, trauma ect. Activities occur in wild settings and are tailored to the specifics issues of the family. Meals and lodging are provided.
