BILINGUAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST.I enjoy my work as a Psychotherapist and Psychoanalyst. My very extensive training at an analytic Institute has prepared me to listen first and then assess the patient's needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important guide to help face the challenges of love and work in their lives. Symptoms of depression, anxiety phobias and Rage are often indication that something needs to change. I try to help the patient utilize psychotherapy for their personality issues that make it hard to function effectively in the world or be content , feel more whole, and more productive.
I have a lot of experience in working with patients from different cultures. I am sensitive to issues of bicultural identites and issues around assimilation and integration of different selves. This has been successfully applied to work with couples who are of different backgrounds and often religion. I am fluent in Hindi and URDU.
In addition to my Individual Practice, I also work with Couples. I also enjoy working with people in the Arts. I love my work , and like seeing people grow and change in addition to getting relief from emotional pain and traumatic stress. By learning about themselves, people become more effective in their lives.
