I work with adults in individual and or couple counseling. I help clients resolve short term transitional issues as well as longer term difficulties. People who have struggled with an unresolved personal or relationship issue often experience depression and anxiety as a result of it. I address both the issue and the emotional response to the issue. I also provide extensive psychotherapy for clients suffering from longer term problems.
I have been in private practice for 44 years. My initial training was in marriage, family and child counseling. I have continued education in depression, anxiety, alcoholism, infidelity, sexual addiction, PTSD, trauma, anger management and attention deficit disorder. I also have a secondary license in Professional Clinical Counseling.
I have been trained in many modalities over the years. I have found which modalities and techniques works best for certain issues and or individuals. I am very interactive with my clients. I have found working together as a team much more productive than coming across as the expert.
