I have experience working with children, teens, and young adults (5-25) in the areas of anxiety, depression and mood disorders, self-harm behavior, anger, behavior concerns, changes in family life, life transitions, abuse, and trauma. I have years of experience working with children using play-based therapy techniques, as well as working with teens/young adults using expressive arts based therapy and ACT therapy.
I love incorporating play and expressive arts in therapy. Both are often helpful when words may be too hard to find or express. Also, I am trained in and use other evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I am nationally Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certified.
