Hola, my name is Lori Ayala. I have been in the mental health field for about ten years. My credentials are in Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) and Marriage Family Therapy (AMFT). I focus on my client's needs; therefore, I may use an eclectic approach because not every case is the same. However, I often use psychodynamics to help clients go a little deeper. When I am not wearing my therapist hat, I enjoy hiking, running, watching movies/shows, traveling, eating, and doing all the above with my dogs Luna, Jango, and Koa.
I enjoy working with clients who are ready for change and desire to learn communication, set boundaries, express feelings/emotions, and break generations of trauma. Additionally, I enjoy working with teens and adults, generally serving clients 13 years and older. I speak Spanish; therefore, me encantaría trabajar con latinas.
I have an open and honest approach while working with my clients. I have been known to be blunt and direct in my personal life, which I do not shy away from in therapy. I value respect and transparency; therefore, my clients will see a genuine human during our session. Lastly, I encourage clients to share their thoughts and feedback at all times.
