Hello! I enjoy and have experience in treating children, teens, families, couples and individuals of all socio-economic backgrounds and cultures. I specialize in treating teens and young adults who have experienced traumas and I believe in including family members whenever possible to create greater, lasting change within the individual and family dynamic. I am trained in eight Evidenced- Based Practices to treat symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance abuse and parenting difficulties.
Evidenced-Based Practices include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Depression Treatment Quality Intervention (DTQI), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), FOCUS: Family Resiliency Training, Positive Parenting Program, Seeking Safety, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
I speak Spanish and enjoy providing therapy in Spanish whenever needed. I primarily provide a non-faith based approach but consider myself a spiritual person. My interests include travel, music, the outdoors, and time spent with family and friends.
