I specialize in helping people with chronic medical conditions improve their physical and emotional functioning. My experience of 15 years at the University of Virginia Cancer Center and 4 years at the UVA Pain Management Center combine to allow me to help patients and families at any stage or phase of cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery or ongoing illness.
My doctoral level training in clinical health psychology allows me to assess your strengths, as well as areas that can be improved. I am a collaborative therapist who listens and motivates. I am also trained in clinical hypnosis, which I use to help with a variety of health conditions.
