As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use an empathic approach to create a safe and healing space for my clients. I am passionate about guiding adolescents and adults through difficult or painful life events such as relationship loss, the transition from high school to college, school-related anxiety, divorce, marriage, parenting and relationship issues. My clinical experience and interest areas include eating disorders and disordered eating, OCD, school refusal, mood disorders, self-harming behaviors and parent coaching.
I use a variety of treatment modalities to best meet the needs of each person, including DBT, CBT and relational therapy. I believe in setting goals to work towards positive and lasting change. I am interested in a collaborative approach and welcome the opportunity to work alongside outside providers.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago after graduating from the University of Kentucky. Prior to private practice, I directed a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) / Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents with eating and mood disorders. I also have experience working at a VA hospital and a social service agency.
