As a therapist, it is very important to me to hold a safe space for children, teens and young adults to feel like they are nurtured and safe to be themselves and share their stories through authenticity and self-expression. I have spent the last decade working as a therapist with the DOE and fully understand the challenges and triumphs that co-occur during this vulnerable time. I am a strong advocate for my clients and work closely with their families to ensure their emotional needs are being met. I believe that children, teens and young adults have the power to heal themselves when given the right support and tools to do so.
I utilize the expressive arts, mindfulness and somatic therapy to help improve emotional regulation and self-advocacy skills while releasing anxiety, depression and stored trauma within the body. Together, we develop a strong therapeutic alliance that allows clients to feel more confident in their decisions, develop healthy relationships, and feel safe.
I believe in the power of healing because I have experienced the transformation myself. I fully understand the nuances of healing and the hard work and dedication it takes to stay on the path.
