My focus includes working with clients experiencing a variety of symptoms including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD, early childhood trauma, and grief/loss. My empathetic and caring nature has driven me to pursue a career where I can be an advocate, voice, educator, and supportive listener. My authentic approach and ability to meet the client where they are at creates an environment for understanding and growth. My education includes a bachelor's degree from UW-Eau Claire and a master's degree from UW-Stout in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My therapeutic approaches vary with the needs of the client in front of me. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children, where my ability to bring warmth and comfort into session helps clients better understand themselves.
I also occasionally work in a therapy team with my dog, Lory. Including a therapy dog into my practice offers benefits that can enhance the therapeutic process and improve outcomes. As a therapist, working with a therapy dog provides a unique and effective way to connect, create a comforting environment, and facilitate emotional healing.
