Do you ever wonder, "Why do I remember an event from long ago so vividly and still get upset?" Or "Why do I behave that way? That's not like me". Our behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and emotions are not random and meaningless, but hold important information that guides us through life. We all have experienced events that we would rather not think about again, but unfortunately, those are often the memories, body sensations, and emotions that inform who we love, how we parent, or even where we work.
Therapy is about how you experience your past, present, and future, you are the expert in yourself. I work collaboratively with you, informed by training in EMDR, IFS, and CBT and experience working with clients struggling with symptoms related to trauma such as depression, anxiety, and dissociation.
The hardest part is reaching out. I offer a free 15 minute call to answer any questions you might have about myself, the therapeutic process, and/or the therapeutic relationship. I see clients both in-person and virtually.
