The extensive trainings in which I participated earned me certification in two highly successful evidenced based models of therapy for trauma: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Both models have been proven to help alleviate symptoms of PTSD such as: nightmares, anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
My certification in Substance Abuse Counseling provides me an opportunity to help individuals and families suffering from the effects of addiction. I use the The Mindfulness Based Approach to Relapse Prevention to facilitate the healing process and assist in creating options for new, hopeful ways of living.
