Hello! I’m Lisa Matthews, a licensed therapist (LMHC). I have been practicing as a mental health counselor for over 7 years. My focus areas of practice are depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach in therapy is cognitive behavioral as well as client-centered. For those wanting to address issues on a short-term basis, I also utilize the solution-focused approach. I have a clinical yet conversational approach and I aim to spend much time in the beginning of therapy getting to know my clients and what is important to them within the process.
I desire to create a warm, safe, relaxed, and inviting environment for my clients. I want my clients to feel like they are able to take their time and get comfortable within the session. While working with me, you will feel like your thoughts and feelings are being held and respected, no matter what you bring to session.
