With the amount of pressure and expectations that are placed on us on a daily basis, it can be overwhelming to think of what changes will actually make a difference for us. I view psychological distress as alarm bells telling us that our needs are not being met. You may find these alarms going off in multiple areas of life- work, school, relationships, etc. Beyond learning ways to cope with the alarm bells, my goal is to understand what those unmet needs are so that we can turn the alarms off. In my work, I aim to use therapy as a space to slow down and listen to what your symptoms are trying to communicate.
People seek therapy for different reasons and whatever it is that brings you in, I strive to create a relationship of safety, trust, and curiosity. As we begin to understand the deeper parts of yourself, we will also gain clarity in the changes you want to make as well as the barriers that are hindering you from implementing those changes.
