Making the decision to engage in therapy can be difficult and overwhelming. I invite adolescents, emerging adults, adults and couples to enter a confidential space where they are free to explore their experiences and emotions without judgement. My role is to assist clients in identifying the patterns that cause them to be stuck and help them develop strategies to improve confidence and engage with the important people in their lives more effectively.
My work with clients includes improving relationships; managing symptoms of depression and anxiety; working through transitions (to high school, college, career, switching careers, divorce and empty nest); and parent guidance. When working with adolescents I can, when necessary, be the liaison between school, parents and primary care physicians.
My practice focuses on helping clients be their best self. I believe that everyone has the power and capacity to elicit change. The relationship is collaborative focusing on goals established by the client. I use a combination of modalities including Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems and mindfulness to build a client's internal toolbox.
