In an age where families are incredibly busy and behaviors tend to occur at home, I realize the limitations of office based work. My home based therapy encourages parents to come up with realistic plans based on their natural home environment. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience. I work with parents on ways to effectively manage their children's behavior in the comfort of their home. My expertise lies in families with children from birth to high school age. The children can be either typically developing or struggle with issues around Anxiety, OCD, ODD, and trichillmania.
I offer tools for management of anxiety as well as parent toolboxes to create greater calm and structure within household settings. I utilize approaches from Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Theory to help guide my work.
I provide a safe comfortable forum. I have practiced social work in both clinic and home settings. I received a bachelor of social work from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. I have post graduate training from the Ackerman Institute for the Family and advanced training in CBT.
