Many of the individuals and couples I work with are experiencing anxiety, depression, major life changes, difficulties managing everyday stressors and interpersonal relationship issues. They come to therapy to explore their histories, increase self-awareness, identify patterns, improve communication, process feelings/emotions and gain coping skills and tools to better manage their circumstances. I recognize that every client comes to therapy with unique experiences and needs, which is why we will take time to build a therapeutic relationship and work together to identify your goals.
My counseling style is centered on developing a safe, supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship. I practice from a psychodynamic and trauma-informed theoretical framework; however, I do not believe there is a “one size fits all” style of treatment. We will work together to find the right approach and fit for you.
My goal is always to provide a validating and judgement-free space so clients can be their authentic selves and feel seen. Everyone has a story and every story deserves to be heard. I know that starting therapy can feel scary and overwhelming, which is why we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. It is my privilege to be able to support you.
