My therapeutic approach hinges on these core beliefs: 1) Thoughts are just thoughts. They aren’t always true, important, or meaningful. 2) Feelings aren’t problems to be fixed. They are all part of the human experience. 3) Taking values-aligned action is the key to living a life that fulfills you. These ideas are inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, an approach that involves accepting what is beyond our control, practicing loving self-compassion, and redirecting our behaviors toward the values that we hold most dearly.
In the (virtual) therapy room, I am committed to co-creating a space for deep, authentic human connection. This guides my work supporting clients through experiences with anxiety and depression. I especially love working with creatives, over-thinkers, meditators, writers, tough inner critics, and individuals who are down to both laugh and cry in session.
