I love working with clients who recognize they want a change, but don't know exactly how to do it. Therapy is a collaborative process between someone who knows theories and techniques, and someone who knows their own feelings, thoughts, and experiences. I often work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and emotion regulation difficulties.
I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy for those with PTSD, and often draw from its techniques for other struggles. Not everything is fixed by changing our thoughts, but determining the beliefs we hold about ourselves and challenging the negative ones can create space for healing, change, and growth.
Therapy is an incredibly vulnerable process, and showing vulnerability is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
